Fellowship in the project "The role of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in plant stress tollerance" (Univ. Firenze)
The goal of the project is to study the interaction between plant root system and its bacteria, investigation the release of plant volatile compounds (VOCs) and their role in priming abiotic stress tolerance on neighbouring plants. Within the project, the applicant will have to study the signals inter-plant, plant-plant and plant-other organisms under specific stress, and to develop root-targeted strategies for the correct cultivation and protection of plants.
