Vacancy: Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Director International – Brand Development  
Location: London, UK

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Director – Brand Development to work within our dynamic and growing company.
This newly created role will report directly to the Senior Director, Scientific, Regulatory Affairs and Technical (SRA&T) International and will be a member of the SRA&T Leadership team.   The role will lead a team of 3 direct reports.

The individual’s primary responsibility is to enable science based, regulatory compliant and consumer relevant brand strategies across key International regions of Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

The successful candidate will be expected to quickly become integrated within the SRA&T and marketing teams, among other functions and to quickly develop a plan to deliver the following responsibilities:
-    Working within regulatory frameworks and on a strong science base, support development of brand benefit platforms: strengthening consumer facing product benefits and claims, enabling more compelling communications on pack, in brand campaigns, online and in store
-    Lead health and nutrition communications (business to business and business to consumer), evolving to focus on these benefit platforms, the identified target audiences and be highly effective
-    Represent NBTY International externally to maintain and build on our reputation for superior quality, as required
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and proven ability to quickly build strong relationships at all levels as well as significant international experience in a science, nutrition and regulatory affairs field, building consumer facing health claims and health communications preferably within food, food supplement, sports nutrition or pharmaceutical categories.  You will need an in depth knowledge and experience of implementing EU NHC, FIC and food supplements regulations as a minimum. Knowledge of other regulatory jurisdictions would be a distinct advantage.
We also seek a Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Biosciences or a closely related scientific field with a Doctorate or other post graduate qualification highly preferred.

As an International role, the successful candidate will need to show flexibility in working hours and be comfortable with virtual working as well as willing to undertake some international travel.
Fluency in English is essential, other languages would be an advantage.

Vacancy:    Region Leader: Regulatory Affairs & Registrations Asia Pacific
Location:     Seoul, South Korea

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated Region Leader: Regulatory Affairs & Registrations Asia Pacific to work within our dynamic and growing company.
This newly created role will report directly to the Senior Director, Scientific, Regulatory Affairs and Technical (SRA&T) International and will be a member of the SRA&T Leadership team.  It will also have a dotted line to the North Asia Commercial Director.  The individual’s primary responsibility is to be the in house regulatory affairs expert providing direction to enable business growth within the Asia Pacific Region. The role will work alongside the Region Regulatory experts for Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America and may be asked to provide support to those regions as well as be involved in International projects.

The successful candidate will be expected to quickly become integrated within the SRA&T and commercial teams, among other functions and be expected to deliver the following:
-    Be the source of regulatory affairs expertise for all regional regulations, ensuring compliance of products and communications
-    Lead regulatory assessments for product launches and renovation efforts, providing direction and guidance, including but not limited to: ingredients, claim requirements, permitted levels and tolerances
-   Approve product information, labels and communications
-    Provide insight and direction on regulatory changes and manage issues with potential to impact NBTY products and brands
-    Represent NBTY business and position at trade organization meetings, regulatory authority discussions and working groups as required

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and proven ability to quickly build strong relationships at all levels. You will have significant international experience in the regulatory affairs field, preferably within food, food supplement, sports nutrition or pharmaceutical categories. In depth knowledge and experience of implementing labelling and health claims regulations within the MEA region is a minimum requirement, with knowledge of other regulatory jurisdictions a distinct advantage
The successful candidate will likely have a Degree in Nutrition, Law, Food, Pharmacy or a closely related field. A Doctorate or other post graduate qualification would also be highly desirable. 

As an International role, the successful candidate will need to show flexibility in working hours and be comfortable with virtual working as well as willing to undertake international travel. You must have excellent written and spoken Korean and fluency in English is also essential.  Other languages would be an advantage.
