London based startup looking for nutritionists

Cutting edge food search startup is looking for Nutritionists People are becoming increasingly conscious about what they eat. However, finding the right food can be an enormous challenge. We are a pioneering London based startup that is addressing this very problem. Having developed the world’s most advanced food search platform and app capable of delivering endless combinations of unique consumer dietary preferences, we are now looking for Registered Nutritionists (ANutr/RNutr) to join our team to deliver a high profile project for a leading high street brand.

You will be part of a dynamic startup consisting of a team of technologists, data scientists and nutritionists and as such you will be instrumental in developing scalable services that are nutritionally robust, accurate and reliable. You will have an aptitude for science and outstanding attention to detail, good communication skills and a proven capability to multitask and work independently under time restraints to deliver evidence-based nutritional expertise whilst undertaking routine database and quality assurance tasks, ensuring compliance with all business regulatory requirements. We are ideally looking for someone who is passionate about changing how people eat on a daily basis, having had experience of applying science into practice. Experience in food allergies and intolerances is preferred.

? Data quality assurance - you will use a systematic approach to review all products and recipes in our food and drink database to ensure they are accurately tagged. This will involve execution and evaluation of manual and automated quality assurance testing, identifying any potential quality issues per process and escalate concerns.
? System feedback - you will continuously undertake validation of the food database using a variety of software based tools and processes to ensure it accurately reflects primary data and dietary, intolerance and allergy categories appropriately. In addition, you will be familiar with EU food allergen legislation and product food labelling processes.
? Error resolution - you will work closely with the technical team to assess and resolve conflicts or errors. You will be required to feed back into the development cycle, facilitating continual improvement of the systems.

? At least a BSc in Nutrition or equivalent
? Registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN)
? Extensive nutrition knowledge of food allergies, intolerances and lifestyle diets
? Previous experience working with online databases is desirable
? A strong understanding of EU food allergen legislation and food product labelling processes
? Compliance and testing experience, an advantage
? Strong computing skills and number literacy
? Meticulous with a methodical approach
? Good verbal and written communication skills
? The ability to work as part of a team and build successful working relationships

We are initially looking for nutritionists for a 3 month contract starting immediately. As you’d expect from a company innovating in the food space through the creative use of technology, we support a progressive working approach. This role will be based in our London offices.
