A position is available in the Davies laboratory for a plant electrophysiologist. The successful applicant will use patch clamp electrophysiology to characterise calcium channels in Arabidopsis root hair plasma membrane and test for their genetic identity. Experience in patch clamping Arabidopsis roots hairs is essential and experience in electrophysiological analysis of heterologously expressed plant channels is highly desirable. Applicants must possess a PhD in plant biology. The position is available for 9 months in the first instance.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
