LOFT Project (2022-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000088431) is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union and developed by a consortium of five partners from four Mediterranean countries (France, Spain, Italy and Turkey). Coordinated by BEUFA (Government of Kocaeli), the project counts with partners such as the University of Zaragoza - through the Agri-Food Institute of Aragon (IA2), Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna (Italy), CDE Petra Patrimonia (France) and GEBZE Technical University (Turkey).

LOFT aims to: contribute to EU policy on harnessing the potential of digital technologies for teaching and learning, and develop the digital skills of local small-scale food producers, engaging them on the path of digital transformation. It also aims to provide innovative VET (Non-Regulated Vocational Education) tools to both lessen the negative impacts of the pandemic on food consumers and to leverage growth opportunities for local food producers.

The project targets:
•    Local small-scale food producers
•    Local food consumers New entrants and entrepreneurs in the local food sector
•    Local management authorities (local decision-makers) responsible for food-related issues
•    The general public, who should be more aware of food issues.
The project includes the development of: a LOFT database and field analysis, which will provide the potential of LFPs and consumers; a training methodology for LFPs with training content on digital skills, LOFT MAPS and consumer guide, as a model for local food maps involving the entire network and the LOFT APP as a digital learning tool, as well as raising public awareness of local food.
