Histology and Anatomic Pathology Laboratory

In relation to the lines of research carried out by the research groups, this laboratory mainly processes the samples generated in order to obtain an anatomopathological diagnosis, which serves as a support for clinical diagnosis.

Area for preparation of histological samples, prepared for inclusion in kerosene, cutting and staining of tissues:

• Labolan Bio-Optica biological safety cabinet.
• Kerosene embedder
• Modular kerosene embedding center, with DP500 kerosene dispensing module and thermal console. Bio-optica UT2.
• Shandon™ Finesse™ 325 manual microtome. Thermo Scientific.
• Staining battery with a Burdinola hood.

Imaging area:

• NIKON ECLIPSE E2000 microscope with NIKON DS-Fi1 coupled camera and specific software.

An anatomopathological diagnostic service is available.
