Biochemical Genetics Laboratory (LAGENBIO)

This laboratory provides scientific and technical support to research in molecular genetics applied to animal production, bioindustry and health.

Its main lines of activity include the conservation of the genetic diversity of autochthonous Spanish breeds, genetic strategies for the optimization of the quality and safety of food products, diagnosis and pathogenesis of genetically based diseases, validation of new drugs and/or treatment in animal models and regenerative medicine.

For this purpose, LAGENBIO has the following resources:

This laboratory provides the service of detection and quantification of nucleic acids by digital PCR (Digital PCR Service).
