The effects of climate change can directly affect a series of processes that jeopardize productivity and yield quality. Aspects related to adaptation to these new conditions are addressed, such as the determination of agroclimatic needs during winter rest, responses to environmental stresses and the adaptation of new materials to new growing areas and new conditions. The characterization and response of plant material is complemented with climate projections in the coming decades in different scenarios of climate change evolution and understanding how these physiological processes adapt to current and future conditions conditioned by global warming.
