LECTURESHIP IN HUMAN NUTRITION
SCHOOL OF FOOD & NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES

Permanent Whole-time Post

UCC wishes to appoint an enthusiastic academic to the role of Lecturer in Human Nutrition.  Reporting to the Head of School, this Lecturer is expected to fit directly into the BSc Nutritional Sciences programme team within the School and will contribute to research-led teaching and examining in Nutrition modules on both this and other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes.  The Lecturer is also expected to develop an independent research programme in the field of Nutritional Sciences which is compatible with the School’s research strategy, as well as carrying out administrative and other duties appropriate to the post under the general direction of the Head of the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences.  S/he will hold a PhD in Human Nutrition or a related discipline and have a high quality research track record appropriate to the stage of her/his career. Evidence of peer-reviewed publications and the potential to establish a programme of externally-funded research will be expected.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €31,821 - €56,967*

*As required by public pay policy for the higher education sector, new appointments to a direct entry recruitment grade will generally be at the minimum (1st point) of the relevant scale.
